Calling all singers!

St. Lorenz Lutheran Church is inviting all area residents to join the St. Lorenz Carol Choir in singing for the Frankenmuth Town Lighting Ceremony on Friday, November 27 at 6:30pm.  Bring your family and friends - there is no experience needed, and any and all singers are welcome.
The choir will meet in the music room at St. Lorenz Church (lower level) at 5:30pm to rehearse familiar carols and hymns of the season. They will then travel by bus to River Place for the 6:30pm ceremony. This is a great opportunity to lend your voices in this most unique community celebration.
For further information please contact Dr. Scott Hyslop at St. Lorenz (989-652-6141).

German Heritage Christmas Songfest on November 29

All are welcome to begin the Advent season with a one-hour German Heritage Christmas Songfest at 3pm on Sunday, November 29, 2015 at St. Lorenz Lutheran Church.
  This year's program consists
entirely of traditional German carols and scripture readings of the Advent and Christmas seasons.  Several of this
year's songs are from the Lieder-Perlen book, which was often used in area schools.  Pre-service music will be offered by the St. Lorenz Brass Ensemble directed by Michael Keller. Organist Dr. Scott Hyslop will lead the Male Chorus and the hymn singing.    A free-will offering will be gathered.  After the service, the St. Lorenz church museum will be open to the public.
The Christmas Songfest has been organized by the Frankenmuth German Club annually since 1993.  Last year, 225 persons attended from many parts of Michigan and beyond.

St. Lorenz' 18th Annual Ladies' Advent by Candlelight Nov. 29

St. Lorenz' 18th Annual Ladies' Advent by Candlelight will be held on Sunday, November 29, 6:30pm, in the St. Lorenz School Gym.  The program, "And It Came to Pass" (Luke 2:1), will feature music and testimonies of God's hope, peace, joy and love.
The program begins by viewing dozens of festively decorated tables; dessert will be served after the hour-long program.
This is a free event. Charitable donations will be accepted on behalf of young adults in Bay County who have aged out of foster care.
Because of limited seating, reservations are required. To reserve seats or to volunteer to host a table for eight, see the links at, click on Ministry,  or leave a message (989-598-5226).
Those wishing to attend or host need not be members of St. Lorenz.
