Holiday Home Tour tickets are available now
This annual event hosted by the Frankenmuth Women’s Club is scheduled for 11am-4pm on Saturday, December 6.
Each of the four featured homes open on the tour represent different architectural styles. Tickets are $12 prior to the event and $15 at the door of any of the featured homes.
Ticket sale locations include: Fenton Home Furnishings, Frankenmuth Florist, Wickson Memorial Library, Frankenmuth Historical Museum, Satow Drugs and Chamber of Commerce; tickets may be mailed for convenience. Call (989-652-9807) for information.
Christmas event being held at eight locations
The Bridgeport Christmas Extravaganza, with the theme ‘Jingle and Mingle’ is being held at eight locations on Saturday, Nov. 22 from 9am-3pm.
Stop in at Bridgeport Community Church, Bridgeport Pharmacy, Butter Crust Bakery, Creative Designs, Faith Lutheran Church, Gobeyn’s Marathon Service Station, Hillier Studio or Lamplighter Flower Shop.
Shop at least six locations and win a prize. Your name with be entered into a drawing for eight grand prizes.
Immanuel Living Nativity begins Dec. 5
The public is invited to attend the 8th annual Living Nativity Christmas Walk held at Immanuel Lutheran Church of Frankentrost, located five miles east of Saginaw on M-46.
Experience the real meaning of Christmas recreated in the town of Bethlehem long ago. Come to pay your taxes, hear the shepherds and see the Baby asleep in the manger. The 30-minute outdoor Christmas Walk will be held on Friday, Dec. 5 from 7-9pm, Saturday, Dec. 6 from 6-8pm and Sunday, Dec. 7 from 6-8pm.
The walkway is fully paved and accessible for all ages and needs. An interpreter for hearing impaired groups on Saturday may be requested by calling the church office (989- 754-0929). Be sure to dress the family for the outdoor weather.
30th Annual Boar’s Head Festival begins Dec. 4
Frankenmuth natives George Frank and Marilyn (Yoba) Rodammer are pleased to announce the 30th year of pagentry and music as Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Saginaw celebrates The Boar's Head Festival.
Frank and Rodammer oversee this joyous celebration of the birth of the Savior, set in medieval England, with over 300 costumed singers, players, musicians and choir members.
Choir and instrumental selections will precede each performance of the festival, which runs Thursday, Dec. 4 at 7:30pm, Saturday, Dec. 6 at 7:30pm and Sunday, Dec. 7 at 4pm and 7:30pm.
Bethlehem Lutheran Church is located at 808 Weiss Street in Saginaw. A free will offering will be collected.
