World Expo of Beer on tap May 17-18 in Heritage Park

  One of the premier beer and ale tasting events in the state of Michigan is returning to Frankenmuth in mid-May.

  The annual World Expo of Beer will take place Friday and Saturday, May 17-18, in Heritage Park’s Harvey Kern Pavilion. Friday’s hours are 5-10pm, and Saturday’s times are 2-10pm.

  On Saturday, April 20, nine teams of 27 judges met at Uptown North Main Street for the WEB Commercial Competition Judging. Nearly 500 entries were taste tested in 42 categories recognized by the Beer Judge Certification Program (BJCP) and their guidelines.

  The judging was completed a month ahead of time in order to plan for the gold, silver, and bronze winners to be recognized at the two-day event. ......
