Jaycees seek WEB volunteers

The Frankenmuth Jaycees are seeking volunteers for one of their larger annual fundraisers, the World Expo of Beer (WEB).

The two-day event is set for May 17-18, in Heritage Park’s Harvey Kern Community Pavilion.

The available shifts are Friday, 4:15-10pm and Saturday, 5:45-10pm. All other shifts are full. All volunteers (21 and older only) will receive a WEB volunteer t-shirt, free event admission and access to the volunteer area for complimentary food and beverages. There is a mandatory training session prior to each shift.

Volunteers needed for FHS Senior Class Party

The organizational planning meeting for this year’s FHS Senior Party was held Monday, April 15, in the high school cafeteria.  Faculty advisors, Tom Keller and Jason Paetz, conducted the meeting with over 30 parents in attendance. The senior class party is an over 40 year, long-lasting tradition offering the graduates a safe and enjoyable opportunity to celebrate with their classmates.  Graduation ceremonies will be held on Thursday, May 30, and the party will follow from midnight until 6 AM in the EFR Middle School cafeteria.

The food will be amazing with the playing cards hot, as the chips will fly, along with the roulette wheels spinning, but volunteer help is needed to make this happen!  The advisors were very effective in filling the following Party Chairperson positions, but others not in attendance at the meeting are being encouraged to call and volunteer to serve on the committee of their choice.

Chairpersons are as follows: prizes and donations, Linda Haubenstricker   (652-6006); admissions, Theresa Kubiak (652-8235); refreshments, Jeannette Dudewicz (652-6945); craps, Dawn Zimmer (529-7510); roulette, Scott Kostus (213-2099); big wheel, Cindy Riness (529-7283); blackjack, Connie Lafferty (652-8790); cashiers/recorders, Connie Lafferty (652-8790); video, Jason Paetz (652-3592); disk jockey, Jason Paetz (652-3592); clean-up, Marty Bierlein (233-3355).
