Hospice volunteer training offered by Wellspring Lutheran Services
Wellspring Lutheran Services will host free hospice volunteer training each Tuesday and Thursday beginning September 16. The training will run for four weeks from 5-7pm at Wellspring's office at 100 Mayer Road, Frankenmuth.
The role of a hospice volunteer is an important aspect of hospice care. Volunteers provide valuable companionship to clients, respite to caregivers, hand massage, aromatherapy, pet therapy, veterans visiting with veterans and office support. Therapy dog teams are needed who are currently registered with a therapy dog organization.
